I have one on my 36% Katana, DA 100. Of all the props I tried it is by far the best for 3D. Its fairly light too, ounces lighter than a mejzlik. If you want just 3D, its the prop for you. It does OK for IMAC, but menz is a better compromise of both. Would I buy another? In a heartbeat for a 3D plane. Loaned it to a friend with a sukhoi and he liked it better than a menz, 3w, etc.

Everyone complains about the prices of the P-Tip props. We have $3K-8K models, we dont skimp on the motor, servos, batteries, extensions or anything else, so if a prop that is $214 works the best, shouldnt be no big deal. One of my biggest pet peve is to see a $4k airplane with a pro zinger epoxy mixing stick on the front.

Hmm. I have seen Garrett Morrison use one along with one other individual at my club. That loud sound indiciates to me to small of a prop or the motor is just a monster[8D]. That sound is probably the prop ripping.
They didn't make any different noises or loudness than any other plane out there. I heard they change pitch though in flight slightly. Which is really cool.

They can be louder than others. Its odd, my DA turned the 27x10 at 6300 on the ground and its fairly loud in the air full throttle. Put the prop on my friends 106 on a H9 sukhoi, it tached 6000 on the ground but was quite a bit louder in the air, so who knows. If you dont have a noise issue, use one, its worth the money in my opinion.
