Electrical interference
I am experiencing radio interference with my aircraft. I have a Byron (Fuji) 50 with CDI ignition. Futaba super 7 PPM. When I get 120 feet or so away with the antenna collapsed, I get throttle variation and minor control surface flutter. I have replaced the throttle cable with a nyrod, no improvement. My throttle servo is ten inches from the coil, everything else is 16 inches or so away. Suggestions??

Is your antenna completely collapsed? If so, 120 feet is not that bad. If you have several inches of it sticking out, then I would expect more distance. Also be sure you have a good tight connection with the plug lead and its ground and that there are no metal parts on the plane moving or jiggling against each other.

What about wrapping the engine box with aluminum foil and grounding it to the engine or using the B&B servo wire shield and grounding to the neg pin on the rec'vr? Urban myths??

be carefull using shieled wires any where in the airplane, they can act as antena's
I have solved all of my problems with internal wiring with Fiber Optic servo extensions.
This way everything is isolated from the receiver.

Electrical interference
I have always heard to range check at 100' with the antenna completly collapsed. I have always went by that distance and had good luck. If that is the case, minor glitches at 120' may be normal. Check your radio manual if you have it. If not look at Futaba's web site to check for their recomendation. Good luck.

It does'nt seem to me you have a problem.If you are getting 120 feet away before the glitching starts,than you have no problem.!00 feet is normal distance.

RF troubles
I had a lot of grief with interference for a while.
My Futaba T6XA system would range test to 110 yds with the engine off and only get 30 yds with the engine running.
The engine and radio system had plenty of separation.
I tried another R127DF reciever and no luck.
I tried a Hitec Supreme and problem solved!
I sent both R127DF recievers to Hobby Services for repair. One was new and the other was almost new.
Both were repaired and now range test well in my gasser.
