Changing from magneto to electronic ignition

I intend to change from magneto to electronic ignition on my Zenoah engine which presently powers my plane.
Is there anything that I will need to do differently, or should be on the look out for when making the change. Thanks.

Karol,
It is a relatively easy conversion (at least with the CH system, but I expect they are all similar). If you have a a flywheel puller, that process is a dead sinch. After that, install all the ignition components as instructed and then set the timing. Nothing complicated. If you have a spring starter, remove it.
Then, of course, balance the plane after all is done.
Enjoy!

4. It is normal to hear a spark fire inside the module case if you trigger the ignition with the spark plug wire removed and not grounded. Do not do this unnecessarily. If you get a double spark once as the magnet approaches. and once when it leaves the pulse switch, then the battery is bad or needs recharging.
Empathizes added.
I was very cautious and asked a bunch of questions before ordering and a few during install...Terry (CH) was quite helpful.
Being you have a Zenoah, check with RCIGN, he builds and installs them on customer engines. Many favorable comments regards his work. Wish I had the 'fun shoot out of comments' between Terry and Ralph.
If I remember correctly bottom line was similar price with RCIGN doing the installation for his customers.

Maybe I was not too clear in my original post, as the engine ignition modifications will be done by Ralph at RC Ignitions.
I just wanted to know if the installation in the model can be the same as before, considering it will now have an additional battery and switch for the ignition and the posibility of radio interference.

I have both magneto and EI Zenoahs. I have found the only challenge in working with the converted engine is the placement of the battery and mounting of the switch just as you have mentioned. I found that using a square 4.8v instead of the flat 4.8v seems to simplify battery mounting problems especially if you are putting the battery in front of the firewall mounted to the engine box or firewall. It's just easier to place a square battery and secure it. I like to use those cool little velcro cable ties with the battery wrapped in foam. Just something I have done to make things easier for me.
The switch can be mounted to the cowl or just aft of the firewall. I've never had a interference problem and I think that is because I follow that rule. Keep the switches as far apart as possible and also radio gear from the engine. I own controlling stock in RCIGNITIONS
and have had nothing but good experiences. My newest converted G62 has been rumored to be 12 hours away at the moment
. Now if I can just talk Ralph into anodizing these engines blue or red so they will run better. Note to self... DUCK!!!!
