US/Quadra 35 with points?

Picked this engine up at a hobby swap meet/estate table yesterday. From what I have gleaned from the posts here and B&B and US Engines it appears to be a US/Quadra 35cc with points ignition. It appears to never have been run as it is too clean and unmarked as viewed through the port.
The single ring and 1 7/16" bore (measured through the exhaust port) fits the specs given elsewhere on this forum as fitting the 35.
The 6 bolt prop adapter only screws on the front of the crank, which seems incomplete somehow. The muffler is made for the engine as it mates properly to the exhaust port ridges and bolt posts.
I don't need the engine but didn't want it to see it torn down for a go-ped as some fellows were discussing. There is probably a modeler out there who would make good RC use of it or to replace a worn one they already have.
Can anyone shed additional light on the engine?

I think this is the engine "I" have on my Texan. Mine won't work???? Dang thing.
I DO GET A JOLT from it when I stick a screw driver down the spark plug cap and ground MYSELF to the head. I get a jolt even at a small flip. BUT..............I ground the spark plug to it and I don't see a spark. Nor do I hear a "snap" of a spark......light out...Still no spark visual.
How much would you like for your motor? (I may only used the coil.)
If anything......can anyone help me on what "may" be wrong with my Motor?
Thanks.

I just picked up one of these engines. Haven't tested it yet. How do you choke these gassers that have no choke butterfly?? And exactly how do you clean the "points"? Thanks.

For choking, you stick your finger in the carb intake and pump the prop back and forth till your finger gets wet, then a couple of more pumps. These engines like to start wet. To clean the points, take the flywheel off, take the dust cover off to expose the points. Use a point file or fine sandpaper, not emory cloth to clean the points. I think it says on the point cover what the setting is. Either 16 or 20 thou. It I remember right. To remove any residue, take a piece of paper, like computer paper, and cut or tear a strip about a 1/4 in wide and put it in the point gap, close the point by turning the crank and pull the paper out. Do this a number of times till the paper comes out clean. Set the points with the gap open. reassemble and giv'er
Quadra 35 takes an 18-8 prop and the Q42 takes an 18-10. Hope this helps.

Thanks flypaper. I plan on buying a spinner from B&B Specialties and using my Megatron starter to spin it up. And I'm thinking of adding an ignition cut-off switch. I'll also ask B&B if there's a way I can cut the ignition remotely (I imagine there is). Looking to put this engine in my 96" Kangke Monocoupe, replacing the Zenoah G26. Am hoping the extra HP offsets the additional weight.

Good idea to have an ign switch on the side of the fuse. Just cut into the wire going from the points up to the coil and run the other side of the switch to ground.. Use a slide switch as opposed to a toggle switch. The engine vibration will make the toggle switch fall apart in short order. been there. I normalle set the carb so, when idle trim is put all the way to the bottom, it would shut the carb butterfly closed completely You could use a servo to operate another switch. You must use a resistor type plug with this motor also.

Glad to help. I used to do repair work for Quadra which was 60 miles north of Kingston at the time they were in business.

Gord - that's good to know. If you don't mind I may have some other questions, when I get these parts and start working on this. Though I imagine the people at B&B can answer these questions, too.
