ok fellas
I bought this engine at a swap meet. I was told by the seller that it is a BME 60cc. No where on the engine or case is there anything that identifies the Manufacturer or the displacement. It looks remarkably clean and has no visable damage. I pulled the plug and observed that the piston head is clean as a whistle. It turns over nicely with good compression. It has a bennet muffler and a zama carb and a CH ignition. Came with spare plugs (Champion RCJ7Y), kill switch, linkages and mounting hardware. I could probably even find the seller if I had to because I know the club he belongs to.
Only thing I don't have is a operators manual and a search of the BME website doesn't list a 60cc engine. They did apparently at one time make a 61cc.
Can anyone identify this engine for me from these pics and the description above?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

No numbers anywhere. It appears that something was ground off the cylinder head tho. I heard back from Keith at BME, he believes that it is an echo kionitz conversion by BME of a kionitz 58cc engine. That was their main stock for engine conversions.
Thx for your replies, any others seen one of these?

No matter what it is, get rid of that muffler!!! That's one of the most restrictive mufflers on the market, and mufflers have come a long way since that B&B was made. You'll probably have to make a tracing of the exhaust port and bolt locations and send it out to Bisson, JA, and Abel to find out what will fit.
