Anyone with info on Bambula / Zenoah 23 engine prop combination.
I am planning on trying a Bambula wood 16 X 8 prop on my G23 engine but have heard that these props though providing good pull are rpm killers.
My engine presently turns an APC 17 x 6 at 9,200, and would like to keep the rpm in the 8,500 - 9,000 range. Have any of you guys have ever tried the Bambula / Zenoah combination and if so what rpm and performance did it give.

RE: Anyone with info on Bambula / Zenoah 23 engine prop combination.
Hi,
I have tried that combination and while I cannot remember the revs they were way of the recommended 9000 range. I tried quite a few props ( Pro zinger 16x8, Bambula 16x6,16x8, MA ect) and always came back to the APC. Nothing seems to suit the G23 quite as well. These props were used in the air not on the bench. Hope this helps

Thanks Jim,
That's just the sort of information I was looking for, as I did not want to try and re-invent the wheel. Much as I dislike the non scale appearance and sharp blades of the APC props, there is no denying that the G23 really shines when mated to a 17 x 6.
