Default gas on a 4* 120

I am thinking of building a four star 120 this winter. Since I live at 6700 feet above sea level I need to "over power" the plane to get the performance which I like. I have been thinking of a Zenoah G26 since I would like to try a gas engine.

Is this enough or too much engine power and/or weight for this plane at this elevation?

You need to cut exactly 2" off of the nose for balance. Install a US 41 or G38 and you will be pleased. John

I have a 4-120 modified per some plans years ago to look like an ultimate...We cut 4 inches off each wing tip and powered it with a G38...Good flier..A G26 will pull just as hard as a G38, but needs more rpm to do it...G38s use an 18-10, G26s use an 18-6 turning faster...
The ThrustHp chart is pretty bad, but you can compare thrust of an 18-10 at 8000 to an 18-6 at 9000 or a 20-8 at 7000...Interesting...[8D]
