What is going on HERE! MVVS & Evolution engines.
Hi guys,
I just found about about this website: http://www.mvvs.nl/
umm are the prices a scam? According to this a MVVS 58 comes out to about 499 US dollars, where horizon has it for 599!
Aren't they same exact engine?
The mvvs 25! Its under 300 dollars there! Whats going on here? Are they the same motors or what?[&:]

They are the exact same engines, it may be cheaper to order them direct or from mvvs canada, one nice thing about the evo version is that horizon will be servicing them, and otherwise mvvs will have to go back to europe most likely to get fixed

Ok I have some questions for you mvvs guys:
Is the EVO 58 the same thing as the MVVS 58 IFS or the MVVS 58 ProSport?
The price of the MVVS25 comes to 344 shipped to the USA... a bit higher then I thought it would be...was hoping to be around the 300 mark. I almost think I rather pay the 64.00 dollars more and get the EVO25 from wholesaleplanes.com who have free shipping so I can get it serviced in the USA.[sm=devious.gif][sm=tired.gif]

I have bought both an MVVS 58 ProSport and MVVS 45MG from Pe at mvvs.nl recently. He gives great customer service, and you will save money. The point about where you get service is valid. If you're worried about getting warranty service, it may make sense for you to buy an EVO, or MVVS from the US/Canada. I've never had to have warranty service on any engine, so it wasn't an issue for me, but then again, I haven't bought a DA-50. ....just making a joke DA guys, you don't have to start defending the DA-50.

RE: What is going on HERE! MVVS & Evolution engines.
is the prosport a lot better then the IFS version? Or marginally better?
The engines sold by MVVS Canda, they are IFS or prosports?
sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to nail what place I am going to get my engine...
man who would have though its cheaper to import stuff from abroad then to get locally...

Hi DiscoWings,
>>is the prosport a lot better then the IFS version? Or marginally better?
There are significant differences. A lot more than the price difference suggests, but the differences won't matter to everyone. The ProSport was intended for contest pilots that fly hours a day practicing. They do have a bit more power(.2HP I think I remember), and heavier duty components, such as bearings, crank, rod, and prop shaft if my memory serves me. I have a list somewhere. If I can find it I'll edit this post and put it here.
I found the list. Here it is:
- Titanium prop shaft
- Better bearings
- Better conrod construction
- Different big end on rod
- Different porting
- Different crankshaft
- Carb diffusor
>>The engines sold by MVVS Canda, they are IFS or prosports?
He sells both.
>>man who would have though its cheaper to import stuff from abroad then to get locally...
A couple of years ago it was a lot cheaper than it is now when the the dollar was actually worth more than the Euro by quite a bit.
