Default Fuji 64EI spark plug cap

Is it OK to to insert a copper braided sleeve over the spark plug wire and to use a metal park plug cap so that the complete assy is shielded to prevent RF emisions. Which end of the sleeve should I gound? Plse also advise whether the spark plug wire is soild wire or stranded wire. thanks.

If the plug cap and sleeve are connected together, it doesn't matter which end you ground. The plug wire is stranded.

If the sleeve is connected to the metal spark plug cap wont the sleeve be already grounded when the cap is connected to the spark plug by virtue of the metal cap ? If I now ground thesleeve at the ignition unit end would I not be creating a ground loop of some sort? Tks

It all depends upon the type of plug cap you're using. Some have a metal shield on the outside, while the actual spark wire is insulated from the cap. If you use the type of cap that is not insulated, then you won't ground it to the sleeve, but you also may as well not use any shielding at all because the unshielded plug cap will radiate RF noise just like an unshielded plug wire.
