Default DA-50-R

I've got a new DA50R going in a H9 Extra 260. How do I drive a B&B Smoke pump? I'm guessing, drill another hole in the spacer between the Carb and engine, and install another nipple, like the one that drives the carb diaphram.

Hi WLJ,
The two easy ways to dot are, cut the pulse hose and insert a tee fitting, giving you a connection for your B&B pump. The second is to remove the aluminum pump cover on the carb with the pulse fitting. Drill and tap it for a 10-32 pressure fitting. This will give you a connection for the pump. I guess you can also tap the insulator for another fitting provided that there is enough material for threads.

Next question. Two wires off the back of Module. One for ignition battery, whats the other for, the one with the Power Pole connections?

One connects to the battery, the other connects to the pick up on the engine itself.

You know, I knew that. Does anyone else ever have a Brain F##T? I guess it comes with advanced age. Vanguard, I DO APPRECIATE the response. Still makes me feel stupid!! WLJ

On the crankcase of the DA, right infront of where the black spacer/reed block is, you should see a small 4-40 or 6-32 plug screwed in the crankcase. You should be able to remove it and install a nipple fitting there to get your crankcase pressure for your smoke pump. DA used to get the pulse for the carb there before they switched to the carb block.
