Default DA 50R - Carb position reversible?

Hi,

Wonder if the Carb is reversible in the DA 50R so that the Trottle and choke levers can be either on the right side or the left side of the cilinder? If not which is the correct side for these to be in relation to the cilinder? Is there an optimum side for best performance?

Thx for the help

Doesnt matter as long as you dont rotate the black reed block ( I think thats what its called).

I have a DA-50 on a Wild Hare Bipe . I had sent it in for the up grades and they reversed the carb so the pulse line was short. The other DA-50 I have I did the up grade on the pulse tap and left the carb in the position It was originally in so I wouldn't have to swap the servos and cable. The Wild Hare Bipe the servos mounts were so I reversed the the cab back so the linkage would not have to cross the fuse and be in the way of the gas tank and be more of a straight shot to the carb.Just turn the carb over and leave every thing else the way it was and put the longer pulse line on.

Thx Joe,

I did a Carb upgrade myself sometime ago and not sure if I rotated the reed block. Can you check which direction is the fuel line comming out of the reed valve in relation to the cilinder when is in the correct assembled position? Pointing downwards toward the crankshaft or upwards to the spark plug?

The tap for the pulse points towards the spark plug. Don't over tighten the allen head screws that hold the carb on and use med lock tite (blue).
