I know I’m opening a can of worms on this one. I have only owned one gas burner and that is a G38. I love it. I’m building a ¼ scale L-4. I have looked at the G26 and the evolution line. I know there are several options out their so if you would list you engine of choice and why.

RCIGN1's converted G26.
#1 Much lighter than stock
#2 Easier starting
#3 Life time warranty on the ignition
#4 You can not find a better guy to deal with than Ralph
#5 The engine will run until the end of time
I could go on but you get the point.

The reason I ask is I had an L-19 with a wingspan of 108" that was around 18 lbs and it really needed the G38 for a good flying experience. Your flying weight of 16 lbs might make a difference however. A G26 will in my opinion provide scale flying capabilities.

The person here on RC Universe that converts toro 25cc engines is Scott Ellingson. You cannot find a nicer engine then his 25cc GT He goes so far as to polish the head of the engine. Once you have started the engine and it is warmed up it will hand start from there. The engine spins a APC 16x8 prop at 8300 RPM when it is brand new and 8600 RPM once it is broke in. If you have any probelms with his engines you will not find a better person to deal with. Scotts makes sure his engines run right and his customers are happy. Best of all this engine weighs in at 3lbs 9oz and cost only $155.00. Check it out at www.scottellingson.com.
