Default prop question

I have a 52 quadra electronic ignition. My question is how to place the prop on the shaft for the best starting position. I am new to gas and I have heard that the prop needs to be in a certain position for easier starting. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.

turn the propeller shaft till the piston is cumming up on the compression stroke then place the propeller at a 2 & 8 orientation and then drill the bolt holes (with a drill guide) at the appropriate
positions.
This will give you a good throw on the propeller to start the engine

Bipe2, tail strike is right on, but if your engine has the mag ignition, without the spring starter, get ready for a long day. The Q-52 does not start well by hand unless it has a C-H or equavalent after market battery ignition.

No big deal, I can start my conversions with one finger..Put the prop wherever you want it, no need to flip the prop hard...If you put it straight across it will stop there if the engine dies...
