Hey guys,
I am reading a lot about this engine. Seems very good to what I am reading, and am thinking of putting it in a 27% edge 540 that I will be building over the next 3 months.
This will be my first gasser. Although I do have lots of experience with glow engines.
What are you guys experience with this engine? Good or bad? How loud is it with just standard mufflers no tunned pipes or anything special?
I've seem in many threads people arguing quite abit, I would like just to have people experiences with this motor, not arguments of someone vs someone over bme and taurus, I am talking about the mvvs 45 engine.
Thanks a lot for the help

Hi LeBlanc....I maidened a GP Cap 232 3-D a week ago with this engine.....Al I can say is very impressive....After choking it started on the second flip....I am running it with a Bolly wood 21\8 and a Bisson pitts muffler...The plane weighs 15lbs and the engine took it vertical forever....Don't know the RPM tho....It's fairly noisy with the bisson muffler, but it's not as noisy as some straight through mufflers.I cut the tips off mine......It is a charm of an engine, stared it,set the carb and flew it....

i have the MVVS 45 in a QQ YAK, the engine is smooth, very fast throttle response, easy starting, you don't need a canister or tune pipe for good power, i run a slimline pitts that came off a da 50, it spins a 22-8 MSC prop at 7000 and a 23-8 mezlick at 6250, very happy with the 45, the numbers are the first 30 minutes of run time

Any modification needed to a slimline pitts muffler from a da50 to make it fit a mvvs 45? I am very impressed with the rpm figures on the mvvs 45.

i had to egg shape the holes about 1/16 each side to make them wider, that is alland does not leak at all, i also cut out the baffle inside the can,it was only good for adding about 150 more rpms, realy nice engine, no rattling noise like my DA50 has, never had a dead stick yet,and no burbbling noise no matter what aditude the plane is in,plus it is a little lighter than the DA and a little more power

LeBlanc,
I have it in a 2m ship and it is superb. So much better than the ZDZ40 and Brison Revolution 52 that I used before on that model.
Not only has it more power than the other, the smoothness is a highlight with this engine. I do not understand why Horizon does not advertise with it.
It is a pity that there is no rear exhaust version available.

Hi!
I have all MVVS in stock.
Some news. MVVS is making the .45cc engine in a special variant with better ballbearings and titanium stub shaft, also a new controllable ignition system with smaller sparkplug head and sparkplug will be available soon for all MVVS petrol engines. In the sommer a new 80cc engine will be produced.
