Default G-38 Mufflers

I am building a Yellow P-38 with Zenoah G-38's and plan on making custom mufflers for it. Is there any reason I can't use stainless or do I have to use aluminum for the heat dissipation?

Stainless will be fine..The best G38 mufflers I have seen are/were made of stainless by Don Harris for smoke....
