I use the Opti2 oil that Brillelli sells and it is great. It is a smoke less oil and you don't have to worry about how much to mix. Just open the package and mix it with one gallon of gas. I have 3 Brillelli engines and all 3 have used the Opti2 oil without and problems. I figured out the mix ratio one day and it is 70 to 1. This oil is garrantied to work one any 2 cycle gas engine. Give the Opti2 oil a try, you'll like it.

And it still comes down to what someone "likes", and can get easily enough, and be happy about.
Some people are happy using horribly-inferior, recycled synthetic oils that they buy for .30 a quart.
Others are only happy with $80 per gallon "magic" oil.
As has been stated so many times, in so many places, by so many people, and ignored by most..... use a GOOD oil, at the ratio the manufacturer of the ENGINE recommends and forget about it. Except for the "don't over lean the needles" part.
Unless you WANT to do something different. Then, we have to remember that this is a game, these are all toys, and we can do what we want with them.
How about a BIG 'group hug' ????????

Has anyone tried Amsoil at 100:1 in a Brillelli after break-in? Maybe Scott could chime in here, I would hate to be Sorry. I presently use Amsoil 100:1 in a 50cc & 100cc w/ no problems, very clean. Hate the thought of carrying 2 jugs to the field.

RE: Brillelli 366GT *60cc*
what ignition battery should I be using on this engine??? a fromeco relion 2600 with regulator runs about 70 dollars and weighs about 5.0z or a 6 volt nimh that runs about 12 dollars and weighs about 5 oz.
what advantage is their to using a lipo on the ignition?????
I get that the current draw can be much higher from receiver and servos of a 30% plane but the ignition only uses as much as 5 standard servos.

You do NOT need 6 volt at all...
And current draw isn't that much of a factor... epscially iwth teh Rou SHoll... even a decent 4 cell 750 AAA mah nimh will do well and give a day's worth of flying and it's only 2.3 oz or so and costs about $20....
A 2 cell lipo... say 720-900 and a reg won't wiegh any less and cost more... The lipo can be charged at 1 C... whereas I wouldn't EVER fast charge a nimh... I've seen them do too many stupid things.... the lipo should be removed for charging which makes it more of a hassle...
THe 2 cell lion can be charged in the plane...
But fastcharging shouldn't be an issue so the 720-750 AAA nimh wins out... you could even jump up to a AA 1000 nimh or so and still be under 4 oz...

Nope... it only draws a little more than the Roy Scholl... as Bob stated... they are plenty happy with 4 cell packs...
Only until you get into an ignition that will accpet a lipo/lion without a reg is there significant weight advantage... I do like the 1C charge rate though...
I can charge before I leave for the field if I want getting other things ready and packed up... instead of charging and hanging aournd the planes after a long day of flying...
Of course letting a nihm charge overnight is plenty safe and easy too...

When you order your Brillelli, tell Scott you want a Lipo ready CH ignition. We can make them so that they will run on 7.4v with out a regulator.
Of course then it won't work on 4.8v[]

Back in the late seventies I worked for a guy that did tree work with Stihl saws, and only Stihl. He was and still is an Amsoil dealer and used the 100 to 1 in his saws then and they worked great with no problems. I eventually used it in my Yamaha dirt bike with no problems. And that was about 30 years ago.!!!!!!!! It works.

I asked Scott the same question... he said that the 60 had several custom processes that differentiated it from hsi other conversions... and wanted the model number to somehow reflect that...
in other words... I don't know ... he just called it that...

Those wondering about stock muffler options... the DA50 muffler will fit with just a little modifying:
I checked the bolt hole pattern... the 60's holes are actually a little closer together... thus you have to file the DA50 bolt holes inward to accomodate the screws...
The bolts are also 1/4" vs the (10/32 I think?) ont he DA head...
So armed with a rattail file, 5 minutes and a couple drill bits.... TADA!!!!! A perfect fit!
I first filed the holes closer together, then ran a 15/64 bit through the holes... followed by the 1/4"... a little extra filing to take the edge off the holes and VIOLA...
Instant (well almost instant) stock DA50 muffler on the Brillelli 60... and it can still be used with the DA50... just drop a small washer on the 10/32 bolts...
I have cut the stack pipe shorter on this one (might be TOO short for a 12" cowl) and it's 4.25 oz without bolts...
But all up weight... engine, igntiion muffler, standoffs: TADA:
67.2 oz

RE: Brillelli 366GT *60cc*
Is Scott powder coating or bead blasting them now?...looks nice.
Ok, I have finally unpacked and start working on my plane. I've had my 366 now for probably close to 2 months. It was just too cold to work in the garage. I am completing stripping a YAK and putting a custom covering look to it. As soon as I have pictures I will post. Finally getting time and motivation to do this....gonna be a 2+ month project. Have stripped the cowling, sanded it and soon ready for painting.
