first place engine 5.8
i have a 5.8 first place engine and it is a very good engine and i am looking for any one that mit have one ot my.n is no a 33% extra
Do a search and you'll find a few threads. I was going to buy one a while back and researched it. I don't recall hearing anything negative.

Seems to be looking for someone else using the same engine to do some research on performance and set ups. Good engine though. People with a 5.8 Brison could lend a hand here as well. Not much difference between the two.

ya sorry guys i don,t look at what i,m typeing i have my 5.8 in a extra 330l is there anyone running a first place engine to
i think they are good engines it has alot of power . it turns a 26-10 at 6400rpms and with a 28-10 it turns 5800rpms
my planes weight is 22.5 lbs

RE: first place engine 5.8
It's a fine engine. Try to keep the rpm level at or above 6,000. It will be lugging some below that. Play with the 26 and 27-10 prop sizes. A Mejzlik prop would spin up pretty good. The correct size is something you'll have to experiment with a little.
