I normally set the high speed needle first for maxium rpm then I lean then low speed needle for the best transition.

When the high needle is to lean the rpm will drop off so richen until you have reached the max rpm. I then work on the low speed needle either leaning or richen until you get a smooth transition from idle to full throttle.

From factory setting start off leaning the high speed needle.......normally you will also lean the low end for best transition and idle.

I have a feeling you'll end up changing that prop to a 22-8 or 23-8. The plane may be a little fast with the 10 pitch. The DV will effectively fly at some pretty low airspeeds with the right prop.

I'm running a 22X8 on a DA50 on my DV and it's plenty. It hovers fine with it.
