Just Setting up my plane with a Da-50 and electronic ignition. I always try to keep radio gear as far away from the ignition stuff as possible. In this new setup my receiver is only about 8.5 inches away from the Ch ignition module. Is this far enough??? What about distance from the ignition switch (using a heavy duty Jr switch and it is only 6 inches from receiver.
I will of course do a range check with and with out engine running. Just trying to see if I am going to have problems or not?
Thanks
Bill

It seems too close at first glance but each install is a bit different. If I got a good range check with a PPM receiver I wouldn't be afraid to fly it.

What radio/rx are you using? I've read the Spektrum receivers can be as close as you want. But I'm assuming any other type PCM would need to be as far as your wires will allow.

Nothing wrong with doing a range check with the receiver sitting on top of the ignition module to see how well it is or isn't shielded. If there's no RF interference at 2" then 8.5 should give you more of a sense of security. Or set your antena wire near the reciever and do a range test. Probably should double check with Terry at CH to confirm anything you learn here.
