Default CH Ignition- G62

Does the CH Ignition use the Zenoah coil? I have one of Ralph's converted engines here and it does. Any pics of the CH version installed would be great. Thanks.

I would say it does not, since they are probaly useing RXEL Ignition on it. It is there new ignition that they are marketing, since there sycro spark are all acounted for by the military.[X(]

If you were going to use the CH hotstart with the Zenoah magneto it does use the Zenoah coil. If you ar going to use a completely separate CH ignition system the Zenoah coil is removed, along with the rest of the magneto system.

When CH recently did my conversion of my G26, they replaced the flywheel, installed a sensor, supplied an ignition module and used the Zenoah coil.

We're flexible, you can have your G-62 either way. The CHXL conversion will now be $10 less than the orginal CH set up.

I thought that was what I saw on your web site and Ralph's too. MY G38 conversion kit replaced the flywheel and coil and added the CHSL ignition, sensor & mount. Neat setup.

One question: I have the engine timed to fire the ignition @ 30 degrees BTDC when I turn the crank slowly by hand. Will it retard the spark timing when flipped rapidly or is it gonna bite me? [X(]

CR

Edit: Hmmmm, guess I could check and see......

Just crank it like you mean it and the ignition will auto retard. A lazy, limp wristed flip might get you bit.
The auto shift point is around 200 rpm. A CH unit can tell RPM speed in a single turn.
