RXcell Question

Do all the Rxcell caps use a spring in them,this one is definatly an older one,is 5/8 plug,probably 3-4 years old,i am gettin grounding and cutouts at cap,can be seen in cap,dont know if it was ever there,worked great until now,kinda makes sense for it to be there just want to check before i take cap apart,any info great,thanks

Thanks Terry,i tried to call you to ask,i know its after hours though,i am seeing arc in cap and it will cut out,sound right w/spring missing? can i just use any steel spring that will stay put,thanks again.

The boot looks OK common sense wise,think the spring just fell out somtime,can i just take cap apart never done it before,not sure how lead is attached,if nothing out of ordinary i will dissasemble how should the spring stay in,just sits above silcon boot w/out room to fall out,as if boot was torn or over size,thanks

Be careful NOT to twist the cap when removing...
It seems to spread the cap out and that starts ground problems...
That is most likely your arching problem...
I have a DL 50 now with 60+ flights with NO spring but
I am VERY careful NOT to twist the cap when removing...
