RE: SYSSA 30CC GAS MADE IN USA
Hey Chuck,
Todd printed it out at the shop and I drilled it there. You told him the airplane type when you ordered, right? I think he will send you a template with your engine? If not, I'm sure he will email or post it on his web site. Sorry I can't help...
Looks like we may have a few mods. The carb will be inside the engine box as the motor extensions are shorter than the carb. The choke lever will hit the motor box, so needs to be shortened, a minor change. Because the choke is inside the box, the linkage can take advantage of the box as a cable support. I haven't gotten that far, and will post pictures to show you what I mean. Might be a late night for me? I need to visit my brother-in-law tonight to teach him how to fly an Ember before I start firewall mods. Might not get to it until tomorrow morning or later, will fly while the weather is good, we've lost so many days to rain this season.

IMHO this engine is better suited to planes requiring a rear carb/exhaust like slick pattern jobs, Spits and Mustangs. For a Funtana or other wide cowled aerobatic plane I think I'd use an easier to mount DLE30, but that's just me. In this hobby it's what ever makes you happy, so enjoy. I can hardly wait to compare the two 30cc's power and size wise. The guys in the south and west will get to play sooner than us up here.

I'd figure it for about 20 to 40 engines per day shipping out, that's a LOT for a small operation to get out the door, even when they're all just about ready.
A guy has to sleep a little now and then.
How many are in this first batch?

I'll be there, probably. I'm still moving and I haven't had a chance to charge any T-28 batteries. (really need an EC3/banana plug charge adapter) Might help a new guy out as well. But I will be there to pick up my DA 85.

Geeez Fiddy, why is everybody after my engine ? I probably will not have a plane either, between not having an engine and needing to switch out the batteries in my small Yak, I have about decided to just head down with my little girl, she loves "ayrpanes" so I think she'll enjoy it.

When I talked to Todd, I gained full confidence that they are pushing quality engines out as fast as possible.

Holy sh1t, I just got a golden email!
Christopher,
Your engine went out Priority Friday morning at 9:00am so you should
have it Monday or Tuesday. Technically you should have it Monday as
USPS considers Friday and Saturday a transit day.
The manu al will be emailed to you as a pdf soon.
Thanks for your patience and many others are getting their engines at
the same time.
Thanks and take care,
Todd Syssa
