Default MDL-28 & Evolution Prop

I have been using Evolution 18x6 wood prop on a Saito 180,but now I'm going to replace the saito with a MDL-28.What do you think of this engine -prop combo on a Dynaflite Decathlon? Thanks

MLD28

I used a 17x8 JXF and it pulled 8600 during breakin and the first couple flights. It gained a few RPM when it broke in and I switched to Royal Purple at 90:1

It was used in this review here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/a...rticle_id=1095

Evolution 18x6 wood prop is OK. My 1/4 scale CUB at 14.5 lbs I use a 17 X 8, 18 X 8 XOAR and an 18 X 10 . After break-in prop the engine to give better than 6800 RPM and you should have good performance. Keep a log of your RPM. You could break-in using the 18 X 6 and when the RPM increases use a 8 pitch prop.
