Thanks for help guys,

You know, it's strange that one product will be sold in stores in one area of the country and not in others...all the chains usually buy their stuff from one jobber....

Thanks BB1. I think it might have something to do with the polution laws here. They banned 2 stroke leaf blowers a few years back but they still use them. Maybe the result is that it is harder to find things like oil now.

Never used the Poulan....ya will have to read the bottle..
I do know about the Stihl...I bought a new leaf blower and bought a 6 pack of their oil to go with it..
The Stihl oil was so slick the the motor never did break in....or run right...and it was cheeper to buy a new blower than have the shop work on it...
If ya change you're mind about the oil, let me know..

Wal-Mart has a "High-tech" brand oil. It seems to work well. Some here use the synthetic version that does real well and is cheap..
I picked up the Poulan oil and proptly wore out the bearings on my G-62. This stuff turns to goo when it cools off. I pulled out the bearings and the balls were stuck in the cages, Once they warmed up they turned freely. I believe they failed because the balls were sliding instead of rolling until the engine warmed up.
The BEST source for 2S oil is a motortcycle shop. I use Bel-Ray Synthetic. Was even recommended by ZDZ.
You chould be able to find pennsoil at a motorcyle shop and many others to choose from.

I'm using Lawnboy Ashless in everything..Ryobi's, and the Zenoah's....32 to 1 with no problems...Have tried Klotz Super and didn't like it..
Pennzoil for air cooled engines would be my next choice.
Just sport flying for me, so I don't try to ring out the last oz. of hp. on anything

Try the major auto parts stores. Autozone has Mobil MX2T synthetic for $3.50/pint. Any of the petroleum, low-ash 2-stroke oils available at Home Depot should be good enough for break-in at 32:1.

I'll check Osh in Burbank. I only need a gallon worth. Dick Bennett recommended that I run a gallon through my old and very weak quadra 35 to see if it might come up to speed and if not I send it to him for a last rites ceramony!
Amsoil 100/1 goes through everything else here.

Sorry to say you are not going to find any lawnboy here in southern ca! Pennzoil is nonexistant also. but try an old time lawnmower shop! A buddy and I ordered the Lawnboy from out of state.
Start pulling some favors from the midwest or northwest!

I just got back from the lawnmower shop and they had no petrol based oil. They said it has been quite a while since they were able to carry it because of the LAW! Ahhhhhhh! Shortman, you say that you got it up in fresno? My friend Alan moved up there a while back will be coming down soon. Maybe I'll ask him to pick me some up. I called all the go-cart shops too. !~(

I've been using outboard motor oil - it works. I've bought Amsoil which I've not yet tried. I'm just getting in to big gas with a G-62 and my previous experience was limited to a lowly Quadra 35. Anyone see any good reason why outboard motor oil would be a bad idea? I certainly agree the premium 2 stroke motorcycle oils like Bel-Ray are a good choice. When I was much younger I had a Yamaha RD400 2 cylinder 2 stroke pocket rocket motorcycle I used that stuff in. Worked great!

I don't think I'd use it the G62...(Hope I don't open up a can of worms) It's made to protect the moving parts at a lower temperature as in water cooled two cycle motors..air cooled motors run at a higher temperature
