Default Hall sensor question.

I just installed a Rcexl ignition on my Crrc motor. I get spark as the sensor goes over the magnet . If I turn the sensor 180 degrees it will work but the spark will be just after the sensor goes over the magnet. Which is the correct way? I am turning the motor counter clockwise.

Spark as the sensor goes over the magnet.

Look closely at the sensor, one side has angled corners, the other side has squared off corners, face the side with the angled corners towards the magnet as the engine is turning counter clockwise as viewed from the prop end.

The hall should trigger as the sensor passes the magnet, not at the magnet.
