John,

Do I get anything to warm me up? I might be waiting for the thaw before running it. I'll have it ready to go and maybe we'll get a day thats more then a few degree's above freezing.

Hey AJsToyz,

It was pretty rough here too (Ha Ha). 65 deg, sun shinning and 2 mph wind to the north. I hope to start breaking in my engine about Friday. I have been waiting for my fuel can to arrive from Jersey Models.

jkr_1100

Sorry, I can't give you any more insight to the TopFlite P-51/JGA combo. R/C stuff is still packed away, and the runway has a few inches of snow on it! Guess I'll have to wait 'till springtime[]

bhoges17 has had the same plane in the air a few times, so he might have some info for you. Sounds like he's had some problems keeping the engine running though.

Best regards.

Sheldon,

How's about I put a JBA-15cc in this, [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Gallery.aspx?ProdID=HAN4210&Index=0]H9-Twist 60 size......[/link]

I used to have the 46 size with a Saito .82 on it, and that was a blast of fun to fly!
This one would simply be a step up.

I had one of those 60 size Twists, they did not fly as well as the 150 and they tend to crack the fuse right behind the canopy if you have a bump of a landing

fritz,

Yep, that happened on my .46 size Twist, but easily fixed. Better if reinforced BEFORE that happens.

Gene,

I had one of those, first version, .60-.90 size. I call them "flying bricks".
Barely flew with an OS .70 4S, but came alive with a Saito 100.
Hopefully yours never has a flameout.[]

The Twist/JBA 15cc might be a good....crack fuse would be an easy fix.
I asked Ralph if he could give me a hand with a damage gear plate on my AW 90-1.20 Yak....we did a great job through RCU.

I am thinking now of going to a Senior Telemaster on mine<div>
</div><div> Plans are only $20 at RCM</div><div>
</div><div> I don't like to fly in the snow so that gives me all the time between now and April to build it</div><div>
</div><div> Long slow builds are usually the most successful for me</div><div>
</div><div> The Senior Telemaster  is always a joy to fly, hang it up there for an hour or so with this engine and the right tank </div>

Sheldon,

Yep, Ralph is one super fixerupper person!!!
I too, have had to rebuild L-G area wood, and broken side rails.[&o]
Better & stronger than before once finished!

Gene,

I'm heading in a similar direction. But my fleet will consist of 60% EP, 40% gassers.
Might keep one glow until I use up the fuel. That'll be my Dave Patrick's 40 size Ultimate.
Love my bipe's!
