Please help identifying this vintage RC Pylon Racer
Hey guys. I hope someone here can help identify what I have here. This is what I believe to be a vintage RC pylon racer (I assume) from the 80's or 90's, maybe older. Looks to be a .40 size with a removable cowl on the exhaust side.I was thinking a Little Toni but the canopy looks to be too far back on the fuselage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Little Toni would have squared of tips on the flying surfaces. It could very well have started off as a kit but then was modified by the original builder. In particular the canopy may have been moved back to fit the pilot's preferences. It's an attractive color scheme.

What is it?
Looks like it could have started out as a Shoestring and then got bashed into something else entirely. Probably a one-off. I looked though The Air Racer 3-views by Charles Mendenhall and could not find it.

It is a DeNight Special that has been modified by moving the canopy back. Doesn't look like it was ever raced as a F-1 since it would not have been legal. Probably someone's version of a speed plane. I had a couple DeNights that I raced in the early 80's. They were one of the most competitive F-1s at the time and flew great.

Thank you for all the help everyone. I've decided to strip the plane and try to relocate a new canopy into a more appropriate location. I enjoy restoring our vintage birds into flyable condition and just needed some direction as to what it should look like when finished. I'll post some pics as I go along to share.
Thanks again,
Kit
