Wendell Hostetler Piper Cub
Hello Guys,
I´m building a Piper Cub J3 from Wendell Hostetler´s plans and I would like to put a RCGF 32cc on it? I would like to know if this one will be good for this plane and what prop I need to usem that motor makes 3.9Hp.
Anyone build this plane? Mr Wendell recomends Quadra 40 or 50cc, I´ve try to put a newer version 50cc gasse like DA or DLE on this plane, but it does not fit in the cowl.
Thanks and best regards
Gaiotto

If you got extra cash, put the new saito twin 57cc 4 stroke gasoline in there, you could swing a big prop at low rpm and have the heads stick out the cowl

I asume the new DLE 30 may make as much or more power than the old Q40 and it should fit in there completely. Would a saito 220 on gasoline be feasable? nicer sound than a chainsaw motor crackling away.
Able to swing a 20x8, so this may work
