JR 922 RX in A 38%
I don't post here too much but I have a question. I am putting together a Great Planes 38% Extra 330S. I have an Emcotech power distribution with built in Voltage regulator and a JR922 RX. What I would like to know is can I run 8 servos through the 922 without the Emcotech? I do not do a lot of 3d stuff just some hover and waterfall and I was told that the 922 has a power bus built in to handle the load. i plane on using A123 Batts for the Rx. All the servos are Hitech 7955 digital.
What do you think
Thanks
Joe

I am using the JR 922 with (2) unregulated 3000mah LiPo's driving 6 7955's, 1 7950 (rudder) and 1 5685 (throttle) on a 104 inch AJSlick. The ignition is supplied via the "gear" port on the 922 through a Syssa/Tech-aero IBEC (ignition battery eliminator circuit) which regulates it to 5.3V into the DA-120 ignition. I do fly it hard, full 3D rates, and the AJS has huge control surfaces, and after 59 flights since August, it works great!

No, they work well at 8.2V, no issues. I run a similar, smaller, setup on my Velox with a single 2S 2200 Lipo into Hitec 5665 and 5665's. Not all servos can take the 2S Lipo, but these handle the high voltage very well.
