Maidened the Edge today between rain shower's.
Mounting the battery up the front was correct for CofG.
Very nice easy flying, only needed couple of clicks of up and she was flying down the strip hands off.
Put a couple of tanks through the DA50, will need a little bit of tuning at higher revs.

Don, Congrats buddy, the Da Has planty of power...though my da was running rich at top end after the third flight i was leaning it out Little bit by little bit, as long as u got a good transition dont touch the Low end needle
i think u will love it, last w/e. we had the edge doing Awesome things, on max throws we had it doing rolling circles, rolling quicker than a blink of an eye.
ur pics look great also....

Thanks Aussie, once I run her in and tuner her up I think she will be sweet.
Have not had too many planes that spend most of their time on 1/2 throttle or below and perform excellently.
Im gunna love this bird.....

Well, Mark as I said 8 weeks is a ******* of a swing, hope the bucks are BIG!
We have a lot of guys working construction and 4/1 swing is a long time let alone 8/1....
Lets hope the next plane is Purple and you get some time to fly it.

RE: PRECISION AEROBATICS EDGE540T
Yes it is a shame there is no tunnel for a canister...
I had the recomended in-cowl wrap-around muffler origonaly but it was way too noisy so the only other alternative was to fit a canister, I now have a Pifa canister which is mounted on the underside of the fuse. It is big and needs a long manifold pipe but does quiten it down a hell of alot and also produces more power.
I've been flying mine now for about 8/9 months and it is still a pleasure, looks good in the sky, power to weight is good and will fly slow too, no tip stall, vertical is unlimeted and great for 3D, only downfall I can comment on is the undercarriage is soft and the tail wheel axle wire broke after a few flights which was not that bad as the tail sat too high on the ground and made taxi-ing difficult and easy to tip on its nose so I now have a tail-skid instead which is fine for stearing.
Hey Baldeagle Iam looking for another model to use my MVVS 58 on, any ideas, needs to do 3D/aero's about 90" (2250mm) span max, needs to fit in a estate car and available in the UK ?

RE: PRECISION AEROBATICS EDGE540T
Still waiting to maiden my Edge540. Got it to the field a week or so ago but it was way too windy to consider a first flight. Since then work and a few other things have got in the way.
Had some trouble starting the motor to start with (SPE40, my first gasser) but seem to have got the hang of it now.
If I can't get out this Sunday gonna take a day of next week.

I have mine in a QQ 85" Yak so much power its untrue, I modded it to take a cannister, but the new 86" QQ Yak has a cannister tunnel built in, I inported this myself direct from QQ, Molly at QQ made the whole thing very easy, and even paying all the correct taxes I saved over £100.00 on the UK price.
