RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread
I will post a video if i get there Thanks for the fast response.
I have tried the engine on a Pitts 12 50 cc , but it really needs a bigger plane.
I`ll keep you updated.

should be good to balance, i had one battery(besides ignition) pretty far forward with my zdz80, so a tad more weight would not be a bad thing

YEEEEEFREAKINHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
got my new 80 put in last night, man i loved this plane before its even better now, i can tell it has more power even being new, i missed this baby, ive been flying my ef110 for the last month or 2, finally got the super80 from the backorder at rcs, this thing felt like a sportscar, very hot, got used to the 110, this rolls faster and snaps more violent, due to the size i imagine, it was great to finally get her going, im going to take this one out the next few times and get some fuel through it, loved it loved it

Good to see your 33% is back in the air. Mine is nearly finished. I'll fire it up on Friday and get everything set for a maiden flight as soon as the snow is gone. I have not been this excited about a plane since the first EF Yak, (the 85 inch hot rod.)

shes a keeper for sure, and the size is perfect, i can fit through my front door with the tail on, my 110 i need to go out the back french doors and around the house to my trailer.....if and when ef comes out with a 80cc yak i may downsize, this has been my favorite size plane so far for bang for the buck, when including presence, and performance in wing loading and power to weight, not that i dont love the 110, this was just a better bargain and just as fun to fly

Today I weighed my plane on a 33# limit Peloze digital scale. I could not believe my eyes. 20 pounds 3 oz I'm going to a buddies house on Friday to have him program my servo's, if he has a scale that goes high enough we will check it on his as well. I don't use a spinner on my yaks, or the wheel pants.

are those mixture screws right at the firewall? i had that happen with my zdz100 on my 110yak, i had to cut some of the top away, not through but made it kinda thinner, then i can use a long skinny screwdriver to reach in on kind of an angle to get to them

dave, yes one is right in the center of the firewall, one is slightly behind. I carved the firewall at an angle and put a small hole in the side of the engine box so I can get at it with a screwdriver. Cut a hole in the top of the engine box so I can see what I'm doing. The cowl will have to be off to make adjustments. I hope I can set it and forget it.

That seems right. Mine was right around 20 lbs without the smoke system and tank. I don't have a spinner, or wheel pants, and I'm using carbon gear and tubes.

i had to buy a extra long and skinny screwdriver to do mine on the 110, i can do it with cowl on, but i need to take canopy off and shine a penlight from the inside to see what the heck im doing, its kind of a pain but can be done and dont have to do it that often, i used a fuel dot to cover the hole in my cowl on that one

Hi guys, I have a new 3W 85B2 QS twin with headers and cans and I was wondering if this plane will accept two cans and would this be a good plane for my engine?

You will not fit two cans in that plane unless they are extremely narrow

RE: Aviation Models 33% Yak Build Thread
It would have enough power for sport flying and mild 3D since it probably puts out around 40 lbs of thrust, (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) and the 35% Yak would be around 27-29 lbs. You would likely be able to hover it and do most of the maneuvers, you just wouldn't have the strong pull-out that you would have with the 33%. Since the 35% is designed around the 100cc class, I imagine there is enough room for two tubes. Again, if someone knows otherwise, please correct me...

Thanks for your response. My original plans were to put it in a Comp-Arf Yak 2.6 but I thought it wouldn't have enough power for it that's why I've been looking at lighter Yak's.
