So, Charles...when you want to come down again? You are welcome to fly as my guest anytime!

I'd like to come fly again. Maybe we can get together in a couple weeks.

Sounds great! Just let me know what works for you & I'll clear my schedule.

Here are some pics of the new graphics...these shots were taken @ my "other" club (Houston Sport Flyers)...the one much closer to home, but not nearly as big/open as my primary field (NWRCC). Notice the homes in the background...yikes!

I like the graphics not to much Bling !! Yeah that's really close with those houses there !! None of them care or complain?

I just got back from my guys only weekend in Mexico NY. My friend has some land with a cabin and a 700' grass runway.. He has two neighbors that don't care at all about us flying and their houses are at one end of our runway. Its funny because you can here them cheering if something looks cool, then hear them going crazy when one of our guys (tried) to go between two trees with a 40 size ship, then another guy when he came by full speed pulled up hard and the wing ripped off and shot the fuse a good 300' down the center of the runway and into the woods -that was a 40 size Ugly Stick !! I came back with my 88" in one piece though.. Did I mention I love the stock gear and how it flexes ??

Here's a few pics of the Mexico NY field. See how close the houses are?

Frank

Great Flying Dave! I haven't been on the thread in a while, so I thought I'd chime in with an update. I love flying this plane! Even though it weighs #18 1/2 it still does every 3-D maneuver well. At my flying weight, wing rock is the only issue in upright harriers. Inverted harriers are more stable. But............ there has been some trouble. I haven't been able to fly it in over a month because of my Brillelli 60. I have struggled with this engine since I started flying the Yak 6 months ago. It makes great power when it starts. Starts fine cold. Sometimes 30-40 flips when warm. I have tried everything! Timing, carb settings, fuel tank & lines, ignition batts. I talked to Roy Sholl, who makes the ignition system for this engine last week. He asked me send the motor and engine to him so he can test the ignition on my engine and fine tune it for me.
Well...............I hated to see my Yak without an engine on it, so I started researching the specs on the DL-55 and discovered that I can shave 8oz off of my AUW! Combined with a change from the 20oz tank to a 16oz tank, I will lose 12oz total. So, I should be under #18 even with two 2400Mah Li-Ion's and a CF tuned pipe.
I am in the process of installing the engine and new tank right now, so I will have an AUW report by the end of the week [8D]

let us know how it works out, mine was around 19 and i loved the way it flew, just enough power to pull out slowly, it did rock a bit in harrier but not too bad, my buddies in that vid i made is the smoothest one ive seen, his is pretty light, not sure what exactly, but da 50, none of the extra "goodies", his harriers are awesome, and he did a elvator that was amazing, just kinda droped almost straight with no rock, my 110 rocks a tad more than his did, he must have a secret....anyway i miss my 88 and it was fun to fly with one again

Mark Brill still operates[link]http://www.brillellicustoms.com[/link]. I could have mailed the engine to Mark, but if the ignition module is faulty, I would have to send it to Roy Sholl anyway. I really like the 366GT. It has a ton of power and it's finish quality is as nice as a DA. I will use it on another progect when I get it dialed in. I took this oportunity to get a great deal on a DL-55 and lighten my Yak![sm=devious.gif]

Some of my Friends in Tyler put together a cool video.

The red one with the Sight window in the Canopy and no baffle has a DA-85.
The red one with a baffle is my old Yak with the Brillelli 60.
The Yellow and Black one has a Brillelli 60.

I got to put a flight on the 88" Yak I used to own yesterday. Dang what a sweet plane. I'm having to really try hard to keep from from buying another one. I've got RX, Servo's, SWB arms, Brillelli 60, props, wheels, and etc. sitting in my garage waiting on a new 50cc airframe. I'm holding out for the EF Cap but I'm getting really tempted to get a new original scheme or russian thunder 88" Yak.
