Xtraflyr, a few inches isn't going to get it out of your price range. I'm fairly sure that this is still a 100cc plane just like the 88" yak makes everyone think it takes an 80 to fly it. Will there be someone that sticks a 150 in the nose? Sure, but it won't need it.

Maybe Im just jumpin the gun... You think its going to take more servos for the surfaces? How much longer are guys goin to have to wait while they make the changes to make it larger? If it flys as awesome as their other Yaks,it would be worth the wait..

ANSWERS!
Thanks for asking guys. Been typing my fingers off the last few days trying to wrap up a couple instruction manuals (I hate this part of my job!!) and haven't had much time to visit the forums.
The 100cc Yak has been modified to have a wingspan of 110". The weight gain here will be negligible. The Yak will still use 2 servos per aileron, and still use a 100cc motor. This will not affect the performance, price or release of the model.

Wingspan at 100% = 8.16 meters or 321 inches
110" divided by 321" = 34.3%
Would it be safe to call it a 34% Yak?

I am planning to compete with this airplane once mine comes in. Chris filled me in on this last week. It will present like a 40% with the budget of a 35%. Mine will be equipped with what I have in stock! DA100, Duralite Power box & ignition, on Spektrum Radio & Hitec 5955's. Ordering ES Composite pipes! I hope it gets hear quick cause the Season opener for IMAC Southeast is January 19th, Port St. Lucie, Florida. Doesn't leave much time for Building and Practicing. I will be doing a build thread on this airplane, so stay tuned!
Anxious in Orlando!

Here is a possibility for a powerplant. The Torch 90 may have power approaching DA-100 I am told. I am hoping for better than DA-100 power when run on the pipe.
www.torchengines.com
USA distributor will be Western Hobbies. I think they will have the egine in stock about the same time as the EF comes in. I will give a flight report on mine flying a PP-35% Extra very soon and if it works like I think on the pipe I will be looking at the 34% EF Yak on a budget as well.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_64...tm.htm#6463576
I got the Torch 90 at the limited time intro price of US $675. Rest assured I will tell it like it is on this engine/pipe combo. I am told it is very smooth at idle and has good midrange.

I don't want to sound negative... but I don't see a Torch 90 performing well in a plane this size. The plane is going to be 27-28 pounds (I would guess).
I have seen the Torch fly a 20 pound bird and while power was there there is a big difference adding 7+ pounds. This thing is going to be pretty big and have a huge cowl. You are going to want a 100 or a 106 on pipes min so you can turn a 28 x 10 and have lots of prop outside of the cowl.
Just my 2 cents.
