RE: Lanier 94" Yak help
I fly JR X9303 2.4, and I have the new Spektrum AR9100 Power Safe RX for this one. It has the built in dual redundant 16 guage battery leads coming out each side of the RX, failsafe soft switch, built in power bus, etc. I'm also running dual 2300 mah A123 batteries from Sincity jets.

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help
Well I guess I can take pics along the way then. though my building will be slow as am still doing reasearch on the best setup, and taking the time to "TRY" and do it the right way. I am sticking with the stock hardware, and building mostly per instructions, The only thing I have changed so far is cutting out the bottom of the hatch so I can easily monitor voltage indicators on the power system, and lost a bit of weight. Simple job, hole saw in the corners and cut between. I have decided on futaba 7c 2.4ghz RX/TX and smart-fly powersystem eq6, and have an old TME smoke system to put in for that extra effect. Am still undecided on engine & servos though, but I like the thought of a hitec servo I can program. I tell ya, the price tags keep adding up. But I figure since im not richest guy in the world if I spread out my purchases It won't look as bad .

I bought the FMA CellPro 4S to charge my A123's. I haven't charged them yet because the charger comes without an AC adapter, and I will have to buy one or hook them up to my car out in the garage. I am still considering returning this charger since I just got it yesterday and am not particularly impressed. I can charge only one pack at a time and the charger itself doesn't even come in a case but rather the internals are covered in a thick tye of clear shrink wrap[>:]. I'm off to research your Hyperon now ...

Glad you got it Bro! Aren't they beautiful? It's going to be hard not to build this plane. I was at one of the flying fields today and there were a couple of large scale birds there. 35% Extra 300, and a 33% 260. Made me wish I had my Yak there. I'm hiding my plane at my pals house. I forgot to bring my camera yesterday to take pics. That means you have to take some right now RJ!!!! Bring em on Bro!

(DA3)i will definatly go digital with the size of thies controll surfaces.it was the holding power of the digital servo that in part made planes like this possible to fly with out as mutch chance of flutter.that is why most of the old analog stuff had very small alerons & high mechanical advantage setups.just a thought

Here's how ... quick and easy. If you have a digital cam, just take some pics. Then take you camera and plug your USB cable into the camera, then plug the other end of the USB cable into your computer (You "should" have USB ports on the front and back of your computer, but certainly on the back). When this is done, your computer will automatically open your default program for viewing the pics you took with your camera. If you can get this far .. you have it whipped for the most part.

There is no questiion i will be going digital, was looking at the HS-5995TG's at servo city, very fast and powerful, but just ordered the RX/TX and EQ6, so servo's will have to wait a bit.

Hey, good job man. Nice bird. Now don't stop there. I'm going to try to get to my friends house tomorrow to get some more pics and stare at my plane. I may just have to put this one on the bench. BTW, I see the 94'' Edge is on the Tower site again. If the Extra pops up at 400 clams, it's mine.
