Default Control question.

For a 1/4 scale elevators which control device is better, ball link or clevis? Thanks.

I suppose it would depend on 1/4 scale what. I like the bolt through ball links myself on warbirds and for high performence planes.

What he said. You can't go wrong with a ball link, but it can be overkill on some models. It's also sometimes questionable whether it is desireable to have adjustment at both ends. That can lead to problems if they're not pre-flighted.

The clevis is less obvious on the horn end - Ido that on my sport models (ball @ the servo end w/soldered clevis at the control horn).

It's a Meister Zero where the linkage is hidden.

With that big Zero I'd go bolt through ball links.

Seen planes crash because of a clevis' popping off. Never seen a ball link fail. Also seen a fool running clevis' on a 102cc plane.[X(]
