Default kill switch problem

i have a dle 30cc in a ecom dvii with a opto killswitch. First fite every thing is fine but on the second flight the engine starts then quits and the opto kill swtch blinks end the engine will not run. Ihave replaced the ignition module and the problem was not corrected help ihave a futaba 2.4 radio set up switch on channel 6 with end points at limit.

Have you cycled the ignition battery.

Futaba 6j-2.4 radio with futaba r2006gs receiver. I had an maxford mentor with 26cc gasser with the same setup and had no problem . I bought new all receiver and servos and the kill switch for my fokker runs fine first flite second flite can,t get off the ground because engine quits and switch lite blinks cutting engine. Could this be heat related we have been in the 90,s with high humidity . thanx for thinking Biplane Ray

One think you could do is to bypass the kill switch to see if that is creating the problem, connect the ing batt to the manual on/off switch and run it that way.

As mentioned by-pass the opto switch so just the mechanical switch kills the ignition and make sure the engine runs fine for the day then you will rule-out the ignition battery.
What type and size ignition battery are you running?

Well we would also need to know the make&model of the opto switch to see if anyone has had problems with that brand.

That will help. I don't know of anyone having an issue with the Rcexl unit but there may be. I have those and the Evolution's and so far so good.
Your unit could have a broken or bad crimp connector, or internal cold /broken solder joint. You could troubleshoot it .......but.....!
You are on the right track to just replace the opto unit.

I don,t want to cannibalize my other planes I'll wait for the new switch to come by slow boat and try that approach . I'm sure its a faulty switch . I just was interested if any one else experienced the same problem. thanx again biplane RAY
