Default Giant scale servos

I need an elevator servo for a 40cc biplane. Will a hi-torque futaba be enough or do I need to get a 1/5 futaba servo?

Without really knowing anything about the plane you are talking about other than the engine size and the fact that the elevator may only be controlled by one servo I would say get one of those big Futaba servos to power it like the S134.

I've gone to Hitec in everything. My suggestion would be the HS-7955TG It makes 333oz on 6.0V is is about $100. It's a lot of servo for the money. If this is a sport plane and does not have large control surfaces the HS-7985MG makes 175oz on 6.0v and would probably be ok but is only $15 cheaper.

Hitec has improved the 7955 and it is now called the D955TW. The new servo has the same excellent mechanics as the 7955 but offers much better overall performance with its new processor. Like the 7955, a steel gear version is available for about $10 less. Steel gear is model D954SW. Either of these servos has become one of my favorites in this price range. The whole Hitec D series is worth looking at and the D625 / 645 mw has become a favorite sport and throttle servo.
