RE: 27% Cessna 421 Twin Turbo Prop
Swampy,
I have received the first motor from Wren in England, but I am currently finishing up two other projects first. I should be back at it in 3-4 weeks...depending on the work load. Stay tuned...it will move along quickly once work resumes.
cheers,

The nose retract when extended is 90 degrees to the mounting rail....but when retracted it travels 100 degrees to fit the wheel into the well.
BTW...I have been working on the build...just not much time to post..

Finally got some photos together today and I am really glad I have my magnetic building table!!! I have had this kit ordered for some time and have dreamed of a turboprop twin for a while. I will keep photos posted as I get-r-done.

Buzz,
I really love your web site. I also have the 1/3rd scale Stearman & really enjoyed the way you posted all of those pics of you building the plane. They were VERY VERY helpful!!! Could you do the same thing w/ the Cessna 421? I have the plans as well & it sure would be helpful. BTW, are you going to Joe Nall this year & are you & your dad bringing the Stearmans?
Thanks,
Saul

This weekend I was able to build the rudder, carbon hinge mounts, Stab, Servo Box, etc. This week I will be preparing for Joe Nall. Hope to see some of you there! I will continue to post photos on my website at: http://www.freewebs.com/buzzkillingsworth/

I'm subscribing....right now. That's a pretty big project you're taking on. The 421 is a gorgeous plane...and the 425 is awesome as well. You work quickly, as well...I'm amazed. Good job.

RE: 27% Cessna 421 Twin Turbo Prop
After a very busy summer (13 fly-ins attended), I am finally back to resume the build on the big 425.
The rudder and elevator are ready for glass, and the ailerons and flaps are finally hinged to the wing...the main gear is also now installed.
Pics in few days.

That is looking really good. I have been watching this thread for quite a while, and I am glad to see you back working on it. Those engines fit in the nacelles perfectly!
