Hi. I am getting ready to build the Ziroli 77" Stearman. I have the plans and the full cut kit. My question is, "does anyone know if there is a build review published?".
I am an older builder and experienced, but always like to read what other builders have found when doing the build. Or any recommendations on the build.

I was about to start one too, but ended up buying one mostly built and covered at a swapmeet. From all the searching I did here and on rcsb there isnt a whole lot on this plane and I didnt find any build threads. I'm planning on a 40cc for mine. I do have a cowl so I can go super if I want, but will probably go with the military trainer. I'm just a softy when it comes to warbirds.

Gordon & Edwin,

How are you guys doing on your 77" Ziroli Stearmans? I am contemplating doing the same and was wondering what others thought of the build. I, too, am an experienced builder but would like to enter the project with a little pre-knowledge.

I didnt build mine. While stocking up on parts I ran across a 90% complete Zstearman at a swapmeet this year. So I bought it. I just finished maintenance on a couple of planes and have a corsair repair to finish. I dont expect to start on the detail and outfitting till Jan or so. I'll be using a crrc40 cc gasser on mine. The firewall to prop hub distance is perfect.
