I just saw his 40% Edge540T on th' cover of MAN. If that's as new as I think it is, folks have even more t' be PO'd about. At least MAN doesn't have any problem givin' him publicity.

The 40% edge is nothing new, several years old in fact.

OK I stand corrected. It's still got t' be a scource of aggravation for some that MAN is still givin' him free publicity.
BTW: Where's the "Woods of Bristow"? I'm near Stratford Hall, jus' off the Potomac R.

Dave Patrick Models is the worst radio aviation company that i have ever delt with. It's a real shame because i own a 330l and a 540 which both fly great. I looked forward to owning his cub and ultimate but i would not even consider it now, there are to many great companies to deal with. anyone interested in patrick's models forget it. Even if you can get one trying to get parts is impossible. I've been trying for a year to get a new canopy for my extra, all I get is an errogant additude no concern to help me at all. I hope this email saves some fustration to fellow modelers in the future.

RE: Dave Patrick Super Cub Availability

In reading so of the posts regarding DPM is rather distrubing, I have know Dave for a lot of years and know that the crude replys from the lady in the office is not his style. I know these things said about their treatment is true becaose I have experienced the exact same responses. It seems I was putting her out asking questions regarding availablity of the Super Cub. I really wanted one of the ones made for electric and would still buy one if anyone has one for sale. I would prefer the orange and white but would take any color.
I sure hope he gets things going again. I have ask to talk to him but he is never there. One has to wonder. My last attempt was a fax just this week with no reply.

If anyone hears something positive I would sure like to know about it.

Jim

Takeoffs are optional, landing are not!

Looks like the website has gone now[&o]

Its a real shame,I really wanted a White Super Cub.Had one one order for approx a year,no chance now I suppose.

I wish Hanger 9 would get hold of the parts for this and take over the manufacturing.I know they have a new 1/4 scale Cub comming soon, but its not a Super Cub!!!:(

I suppose the demise of Dave Patrick Models and lack of info will remain a mystery for ever more.

COME ON,SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE OVER THE MANUFACTURING OF THESE!!![&o]

Steve

I have a completely built clipped wing with the blue trim with the OS 1.60, in flawless condition if anyone is interested. I love it but it's time for something new. There is not a scratch on it. Thanks.

I was just checking the website and it is gone. I came looking here to confirm. I guess others have gotten the same results (none) on the website.

Anyone have a NEW windshield or cowl that they will part with, let me know.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Jaycam.

Good of you to post your clipped wing for sale. I'll have to pass....I'm looking for a full wing, any color, or ARC. NIB would be perfect, but a built one will do.

If anyone has one, I'll pay top price, and arrange pick up, or shipping.

Thanks,

Bryan

Br'er Bud,
Do you know, off th' top of y' head what th' F'glass Spec. cowl costs? I've been wonderin' 'bout th' necessity of replacin' mine since I got it. I've lots o' time as I can't fly yet an' th' cowl is one thing worryin' me. Did you use DP's?
Tnx,
RD

I used the one supplied from DPM but thought I might get a spare. I think it is about $40.00 and you can e mail them to check. It was molded from a DPM cowl.

My cub has Hitec HS635HB's all around, they work perfectly. I would like $1100 for the whole thing less receiver. Mike

I have both an Ultimate and a Super Cub and I don't think (with a few exceptions) you can find a better designed and engineered set of ARF's. They both look great and fly great.

It just seems like such a waste to see them go into the toilet - even given the lousy service provided of late I would think that the products could easily be sold to another company and kept available.

As for Dave Patrick and his office girl - shame on you!

Br'er Bud,
Tnx f' your response on th' cowl. I'll keep it in mind when I start mountin' m' engine. I'm hopin' th' G-26 will fit w/o too much "butchery" on th' cowl I've got, but a backup plan is always good.

RE: Dave Patrick Super Cub Availability

I have the super cub that I purchased and recieved when it was first announced, after waiting some months. Last fall I ordered some landing gear springs and several wing tubes. I was told that they would be backordered and be in February of "07. I never saw or heard from them. Last week the plane, on landing, took a blow to the cowl and firewall, necessitating replacement of those parts. I called DP to order the same and found that the phone was disconnected and or not in service. I sent an email, after figuring out their AOL address, via the use of their online order form. I received no answer to date. I have moved on and we are repairing the plane without DP's help. The plane is light in construction and thus flies suberbly. Most of the accessories are well thought out and resourceful. In my opinion, the website should stand up and update the hobby with the truth, as to whether they are in business and what they are able to deliver and support. My hope is that there just business problems and not health/personal factors at play, here. They need to maintain a professional approach to the hobby that they have supported and has supported them for many years.
