I am about to build the H-9 Corsair and ran across a post by member "modeldesigns" from England.
He states that they fly a 15x12 APC wide blade Pattern prop on their AXI 4130.
With great results, they get 6600rpm @ 47A!!!
Now, can anyone tell me why we hunt down the E props when the pattern ones seem to do such a great job?
Pro and cons, I would appreciate any kind of adive.
I have both the E and Pattern version of a 14*12 sitting here. The Pattern version weighs about twice as much and the hub is much larger.
But other than that, what could have caused "modeldesigns" Pete to pick the Pattern prop over the E prop?
Thank you,
Goetz

He mentioned he has done measurements and found that the pattern props give more thrust per watt for a given size compared to the electric props.
