Default Fuel lines to a fourstroke

Its been a long time since i've had a 4 stroker. i forgot what the nipple on the crankcase is for. so then, what is it for!? thanks guys

It vents accumulated oil out of the crankcase.

so just hook a line up to it and let it go out the bottom of the cowl?

If you use after run oil, it is also the place you insert it. The only way to get after run oil to where it is needed on a 4 stroke is thru the crankcase vent. If you put it in the carb or exhaust, you only lube the valves, not the main bearings where it is needed. It is kind of tricky getting enough in (you need at least a teaspoon full) but, by connecting a tube to the nipple and rotating the prop while inserting the oil, you can suck it in as the piston approaches top dead center.

San Diego is dryer than Florida right. I'm in a dry climate so I skip the after run oil. Primary concern is condensation as the engine cools off. Low humidity here so dew point is 30 degrees lower than ambient. There are occasions when dew point is near ambient. Then I might stick some in. Not because it will keep condensation from happening though.
