Nothing wrong with that. I don't have anything too fancy either ( till I get the Gemini anyway ) but they all run awesome and make me a happy man, with the exception of the gms 76. Makes awesome power, but is unreliable and can't get parts anymore. Someone once said that ys piston and ring will fit, but I don't know if I'll ever try to fix it. I have enough others sitting on the shelf if I need em.

Me too! I have 82 engines -- 81 glow from Pee Wee .020s to Moki 2.10s. I still have my original Babe Bee .049 from 1956. Oh yeah, the other one is a G62, but I hope that doesn't disqualify me!

Of course that doesn't disqualify you. I also fly gas and electric. Doesn't change our love for the old glows. I will add you guys to the roster after work today. Glad to have ya. I thing we will quickly find out that there are a lot more of us out there than we think.

I still love and fly glow. I have probably close to 100 glow engines from .049 up to Moki 2.1, O.S. 300 twin, and many , many more. Sign me up as well.

I don't have a number yet, but I'm going to throw this out to the group. First let me say, I have years of experience with glow engines, dating back to the very early '60s. I have always had satisfaction in the fact I can make almost any glow engine run. That includes McCoys and Fox from the past, and GMS, MDS, etc from more recent past.
So, here is my delima. One of my favorite combos is a ST.75 in a Sig Four Star .60. I have had one for 10 years, with many flights. The ST engine ran like a charm. Also let me say it was one of the older ST's with the wire needle valve. One day I made 3 flights. All 1 flip starts, the engine ran great. I attempetd to start the engine for a fourth flight, and couldn't get it going. It was late, I didn't think too much about, put everything away for next time. Next time was just a few days later. The ST 75 would not run. It would fire briefly and quit. Nothing would make it run. So here's what i did. changed plug, several times, changed fuel, changed tubing and tank, Cleaned the original carb. Replaced the original carb. Striped the engine. no marks on the cylinder, the ring was free, no bearing play. It was in great shape. I reassembled it. It has strong compression, no leaks, all bolts are tight. It just won't run and i am totally baffled. I took it out of the plane, and mounted it on a test stand. Still won't run. I know this is long winded but I have tried ever thing. WHAT AM I MISSING? What makes a engine that ran great for 3 flights one day suddenly stop working?
thanks
steve
