Bob, I have a busy am, let me check and see if I have an extra metal arm or one which I can swap a plastic one in its place.

Hobbsy, thank you for the attention, I have solved my problem. This was a used engine and the plastic arm had been drilled out, it appears numerous times. It split and would not stay on the throttle rod. Pulled cowl this morning and removed the throttle arm. I have a new Super Tiger arm and it will work perfect. I appreciate your attention, I do not believe the metal Saito arm can be purchased any more

In a pinch you could cut thin metal, like a coke can (beer can for you Aussies out there) and contact cement it over your worn out plastic arm. Drill the appropriate hole and hook up your clevis. Or, you could use several small screws in the unused holes of the original arm to attach the metal reinforcement piece.

Because I'm a cheapskate, I'll use whatever I can dig out of my garage to make into a throttle arm or even a bellcrank if needed. Old metal rulers, unused servo horns, or even parts from a bent table saw fence have become model parts. Gotta think outside the box sometimes.

My wife used to wonder why I have all kinds of metal, rubber, plastic, etc stuff tossed in boxes and bin shelves. But after making a few things she needed she got the picture and stopped complaining. A metal ruler is good idea. Didn't think of that and I have a few of those. You forgot the number one thing you have to have on hand- metal coat hangers. Another good thing to stock up on when going to the dollar store are those thick foam beer/coke can holders. Those have better foam than the expensive stuff at the LHS, and also make for padding in a lot of applications. They make great vibration dampers for shop equipment like scroll saws.

I have made a few from the black strapping used in packaging like in a lumberyard. I have a large roll of it (with a crimper tool even) It is kind of springy and about .024" thick. I have a little punch with various size dies for the holes. It give a result much like the stock ones. Some servo arms will work too.

That's a nice tool and supply to have on hand. Even the thin straps too.
