Default .18 Glow-plug question.

I played hell getting my .18 nitro buggy to start today. I pulled the glow-plug and it was lighting fine so I put it back in. I finally got it started but every time I take the glow-plug heater off it dies. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Thanks!

Either the plug is bad despite lighting up good or the idle mixture is too rich.

The weird part is it ran fine yesterday and I haven't changed any needle settings. So the plug can be bad even tho its glowing? The glow plug does start the engine, which I thought was its only purpose. I started to worry that I lost compression but if feels normal when you pull the starter rope. I guess I'll try to start it again and lean out the LSN. Thanks for your reply.

Hey 1Q you nailed it... leaned out the LSN and that did the trick. Thanks for your help.

If it ran fine yesterday and doesn't run fine today then likely the glow plug is toast. A glow plug can glow nice and bright but the engine may not run for squat without the glow driver clipped on. Change the plug with a new one and try again.
