Default Asp 1.08

I was talking with some guys a day or two ago and the ASP 1.08 came up. I have had one for about 10 years that was a gift from w8ye. It's been in a box treated with Corrosion X for most of that time. I got it out today and popped the back plate, all is well. Comments or recommendations please.

Engine===ASP 1.08
Fuel=====WildCat 2/4 10% with 18% full synthetic.
Plug=====Fox?
Prop=====APC 15x8
Max rpm==8,450
Exhaust==Front of stock exhaust with J-Tec Snuffler
Perhaps a 14x8 would be better.
That 11mm carb is huge, I think.

That sounds pretty close to what I was getting out of my OS108. Maybe not broken in and it will pick up a tad more with more time.

I have the 91 of the same vintage, which I believe has the same carb. Had a hard time with it till someone recommended a head shim. At the time, Horizon still carried them. Turned it into an amazingly nice engine. I've run it on a 13x6 and a 14x6; it did well on both, but I did not tach it. Expect to fly it next year on a 1/5 scale T-M Scout. I'm using a JTec Pitts mufffler and it has a really nice growl.

Mine was in a Windsock canard delta. Very thirsty! Much heavier than an ST90 and likes to rev. I had a 12*9 or something APC on it with a full length pipe. The carb on mine came pre-fitted with a sleeve.

My comment - Look out for loose head bolts from the box and nip them up.
