Moki 210 Idle adjustment disk

Noticed the idle adjustment disk in my 210 was moving in flight. Its very easy to turn and looks like the only thing that holds it in place is 2 o'rings. What holds it in the carb, friction of the 2 o'rings?
I put a zip tie around it to hold in place to finish the flying day. Glad it only turned and did not fall out.

The O rings is what holds the idle disk in place. Mine is so tight that the idle disk turns with great difficulty.
Your O rings may be worn or perhaps too small. You should replace the O rings. Your Moki will not run correctly if the idle disk keeps moving.
Horizon hobbies has Moki parts and should have the O rings.

Thanks Tony, mine was super tight a couple of gallons back. Guess the vibration got to them, have not had to turn it enuff to wear them out from use. It was a little unsettleing when the disk just came off in my hand!

In the Perry type carb the o-rings are supposed to take a set, and almost lock themselves in place.
Many o-rings that will fit and resist the alcohol fuels will not exhibit this self locking. For best results use only the manufacturer supplied parts.
You can get them from Horizon as stated, and also fron Conley Precision (Maker of Perry carbs and pumps) and from MECoA, as used in the K&B version of the Perry.

One of my K&B/Perry pumper carbs became loose like this. The O-rings are not Buna N type but something special even beyond Viton?
I had to buy a new carb. It was $13 + shipping for the new idle disk with the Orings already on it and I didn't know but what my body was oversize or expeanded so I bought a new carb.

I had the same disk looseness problem on one of my 2.10s. It was brand new. It would rotate on its own. I talked to Gerard Enterprises, the US importer and outfit responsible for warranty work, and was told to try to put thin CA in the bottom of the O-ring grooves. Tried it but the disk was still loose. Finally sent it in to have them look at it. I was told everything was within spec. Not sure how everything can be within specs but yet the disk still rotate on ite own. They put more CA in the bottom of the grooves. Now the disk is so tight I have to use pliers to turn it. Thye said it would probably loosen over time. If you haven't always had the problem of the disk being loose new O-rings will probably take care of the problem. As others have said, you want to make sure to use the correct replacements.

If unable to get anything else, plain neoprene o-rings will work untill you have to readjust. Neoprene o-rings are very rare these days, and harden too much, Buna-N and Viton last a little longer than it takes to replace them. The OEM o-rings may be Nitrile, don't know. I just buy them from MECoA.

Thanks guys, I will put an order in for some new o'rings on monday and see if that tightens things up a bit.............................ed
