Balancing 3 blade props
Whats the best way to balance three blade props? I have a Master Airscrew 3 blade that even though it says it's factory balanced, it isn't.[sm=tired.gif]

RE: Balancing 3 blade props
Bob,
Using any type of balancer will balance your three-blade prop, just like it would your two-blade.
If there is a heavier blade, it will always be pointing down, even if a finger-tip balancer is used.
If the blades are all different, the heaviest blade will not point straight down, but at an angle.
When you have removed enough material from it, to make it as heavy as the next blade, there will be one light blade pointing up. You will have to remove material from both heavy blades, until they are as light as the lightest blade.
When the prop will stay in any position you put it in, or if spun, will stop randomly at any position, it is balanced.
