Default Saito 180 Which glo plug

Here is a question that has probably been asked 100 times! Which plug are all you Saito 180 flyers using? And is an on board glo driver needed to keep engine running for landings? I don't have any experience with that size 4 cycle, And just want to do the right thing. Engine is brand new! Thanks for helping!

A guy at the flying field has two that are side mounted and has OS F plug and no heat.

It is my understanding that it is better to use heat on one inverted.

A guy at the other field has one side mounted with OS f and no heat

I completelly agree with the OS type F for the Saito. I currently have two 1.50's living, oh so happily, on type F's. No On-board heat was required for upright or side mounting, but I couldn't tell you about inverted since they are now mounted in tightly cowled planes and I use on-board glow for starting convenience.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like OS F and if inverted, Heat is the way to go!
