For the old car fans here's a 34 chev i prepped and painted three years ago,it just won best standard paint at the perth hotrod show held here a couple of weekends ago at claremont showgrounds.The woodgrain parts i did ages ago for a retro t bucket..maybe i should dig that useless 125 up and woodgrain that with a matching 16x6 prop.OR..i might paint it green and bury that sucker again!

There never was a non (S) .91, an early box and a late box. It was always the 91S

Another of the tricky Saito "things" is the high cam series, that was a real change, I think that w8ye could explain when that happened better than anyone, if he would pop in here. It's probably somewhere in Bill Robison's Notes also, it might take a while to find it though. It's surprising that neither Clarence Lee nor Mr. Chinn mention it.

Sorry for the confusion, the "High Cam Series" was a real change, even the cam housings for the early cams will not fit over the high cams. The high cam engines were substantially more powerful than the their predecessors.

I like different and it's different to a point, so I am now looking at the Saito 21 Gas engine (125),

I'm just wondering if these Gasser Saito's burn all the oil at 16/1 and 20/1, I would think not,, any one know ???

thanks !!

Jim you change your mind faster than any woman i've known an underpowered gas 125 for a tightly cowled mustang?? if i remember right.Now,a dark cloud has appeared on my motorcycle riding horizon.I'm being teased at work by a strong rumour that harley davidson is trying to buy ducati..can you believe that??? does this mean we will have the fastest bad bum bikies now or a ducati badged harley full dresser that weighs a ton does'nt handle and not enough grunt to pull the satin bedsheet off the missus when you feel frisky?...not to mention they got bad brakes too,harley riders hate them

Jim, I have the FG 11, it does not burn all the oil at 20 to 1. I use Mercury Outboard synthetic, it's made for 2 or 4 strokes.

The 1.26 gas turns an APC 16x6 at 8,800 and that's not bad.

I have been around the car, boat, full size planes and model planes.my whole life. Now i ask you, does it really matter what oil you use to operate anything. As long as it's per manufacturers specifications.
I only ask this because i run boat moter oil in my gas planes too.

Saito FG 11
Prop===Xoar 13x6
Fuel===Gulf Gasoline, 89 octane ethanol free/Mercury Marine two stroke full synthetic compatible with water or air cooling@ 20 to 1.
Stock FG 11 Ignition=RCXL
95 minutes total run time, I ran the tank 1" lower than the first run, there was no difference in the running.

Max rpm stock muffler== 9,155
Max rpm Turbo Header==9,293
RPM with both=2,150

High Speed needle is sensitive one click lean with stock muffler =9,100
One click lean with TH==9,240

The TH has that same deep throb as the glow engines.

That's it, it's a keeper.

Here are my FG 11 numbers, they're pretty good.

Pete, these engines were painted by a gent named KMOT, I keep these pictures just to look at them now and then. I'll bet you could paint up some beauties too.

Told ya the FG-11 is a good little one. I just found it to be too heavy for the T-Clips, it flies it well, but think it is hurting it's performance, now I have to find a plane to put it in that I can enjoy putting around for an hour. If the 56 that I put in the Clips doesn't cut it though, the 11 will be put back in it. I just need a muffler for the 56 so I can find out.

I like the sight of those cylinders ( on the bike ) . I wish some manufacturers would make some old school looking engines instead of the sharp angular lines of some . Gee that mew is going along as fast as mine . I think we have had ours about the same length of time . I got a OS ax120 for mine but still might put a gasser in mine . I tried to sell the 120 ( no muffler ) n.i.b. once and couldnt get $150 Aus for it . Decided I would sooner smash it with a hammer then accept that .

I have said before, I would like to see a "Flat Head" RC plane engine, it would be cool

Jim you change your mind faster than any woman i've known
yes sir, and that's my prerogative LOL ,,
I have not changed my mind, it's just that I'm still looking, but I got thinking that my P-40 doesn't have the cooling for a 4St Gasser anyway

Jim
